The certification, with its number and both PDFs
Anyone can type "certified" on a product page. What can be checked is the four-digit number of the notified body that examined the model, and that number is below, next to the full original documents.
- Regulation
- Reglamento (UE) 2016/425
- Standard
- EN ISO 12312-2:2015
- Notified body
- 0196 · DIN CERTCO Gesellschaft für Konformitätsbewertung mbH, Berlín, Alemania
- Certificate
- C7564ROCTAR/R0
- Valid
- from 3 November 2025 to 2 November 2030
- Manufacturer
- ROCTAR Innovación Educativa S.L. (ROPTIC) · Calle Cifuentes 5, 28021 Madrid, España
Number 0196 can be looked up in NANDO, the European Commission database of notified bodies. If a seller says "certified" and gives you no number, they have told you nothing.
What you will not read here: optical density or transmittance percentages. The standard sets them, but the documents we hold do not publish the measurement for this particular model, and we do not write down numbers we have not seen.
The checklist behind all of this — for these glasses or any other pair — is published: how to verify certified eclipse glasses.
Shipping, timing and where they go
Ships ONLY to addresses in Spain (mainland and Balearics); not to the Canary Islands (the carrier does not cover them: write to comercial@flexigobe.com before buying). Reading this from abroad? You can have them delivered to your hotel in Spain.
- ROPTIC hands the parcel to UPS within 48 hours of payment.
- Transit, according to UPS: usually 24 to 48 hours on the mainland.
- The delivery date is the carrier’s, not ours; what we do control, and do tell you, is when it leaves.
- €4.99 shipping per order, paid ONCE: whether you buy one pair or fifty.
The glasses travel in their own parcel. If you also buy t-shirts, mugs or posters, those are printed on demand in a different factory: two orders, two parcels, two dates, two tracking numbers. Nothing is missing — they simply travel separately.
Arrived broken, scratched — or not at all?
Do not use them: send a photo and your order reference to comercial@flexigobe.com and we replace them or refund you. If they never arrive, the reference alone is enough. Behind this stands the legal guarantee of conformity (at least 2 years, the European minimum).
And if you simply change your mind: 14 calendar days from delivery to withdraw with no reason given (arts. 9, 13 and 14, Directive 2011/83/EU). You bear the cost of returning them, and any handling beyond checking what they are is deducted from the refund: they are eye protection, so once worn that deduction can be the full price.
What time you need to put them on
The eclipse does not happen at the same time in Vigo as in Palma, and totality lasts from a few seconds to almost two minutes depending on where you stand. Check it for your town before you buy: that calculation is ours and nobody else has it.

Are they genuinely safe?
They meet EN ISO 12312-2:2015 and carry an EU type-examination (module B of Regulation (EU) 2016/425) by notified body 0196, certificate C7564ROCTAR/R0, valid until 2 November 2030. Both documents are published on this page as PDFs, and number 0196 can be checked in the European Commission’s NANDO database. Even so, hold them up to a lamp before using them: a scratched or pierced filter does not protect you, however certified the model is.
Will they arrive in time for 12 August?
ROPTIC hands the parcel to UPS within 48 hours of payment, and UPS quotes a transit of 24 to 48 hours on the mainland. That margin works out fine, but the delivery date is the carrier's and we will not promise it: the earlier you order, the more margin you have. If you are cutting it fine, order today.
Which countries do you ship to?
Spain only: mainland and the Balearic Islands. The Canaries are excluded — the manufacturer’s carrier does not cover the islands — so an order with a Canarian postcode cannot be fulfilled and we refund it. Coming from abroad to watch the eclipse? You can have them delivered to your hotel or accommodation in Spain.
How much is shipping?
€4.99 per order to any address in mainland Spain or the Balearics, charged once, whether you buy one pair or fifty. That is why a pack works out better than ordering one at a time, several times: the same shipping shared across more pairs.
Is a pack worth it?
Yes, and the maths includes shipping: one pair delivered is €9.99 (€5.00 + €4.99 shipping); the 2-pack delivered is €14.59, that is €7.30 per pair at your door. And the saving grows with size: in the 5000-pair pack for town councils, schools and companies each pair costs €1.50 instead of €5.00. If you want to keep them for the 2027 eclipse, the glasses with case have their own page.
Do you sell large quantities: schools, councils, companies?
Yes, right on this page: the ladder goes up to the 5000-pair pack, where each pair costs €1.50, with the €4.99 shipping paid once and a Spanish invoice. In those tiers we will not promise you the lowest price: what nobody else gives you is the notified-body certificate, published and checkable before you pay. For custom quantities or a hands-on deal, write to comercial@flexigobe.com.
Can I use them with binoculars, a telescope or to film with my phone?
With binoculars and telescopes, NO, never: they concentrate sunlight and burn through the filter instantly. That needs objective filters, fitted in front of the lens. For a phone, this is not the right tool either: if you want to try a photo, put the filter in front of the camera, not in front of your eyes, and do not look at the uncovered Sun on the screen.
I am also buying a t-shirt. Does it all arrive together?
No: two separate orders and two parcels. The glasses leave ROPTIC’s warehouse in Spain and the merch is printed on demand in another European factory, so they arrive on different dates with different tracking. You will get an email for each one.
Will they still work for another eclipse?
If the filter is intact — no scratches, no holes, no creases — yes. Store them flat: on 2 August 2027 another total eclipse crosses Cádiz and Málaga, and on 26 January 2028 there is an annular one visible from Spain.

Our prices and delivery times come from the catalogue. Third-party gear is not made or shipped by us: the link goes to our own page, where the standard, the notified body and the date we checked them are written down, and from there to the shop with an affiliate link, at no extra cost to you. We do not publish Amazon prices because their affiliate agreement does not allow it; the Astroshop price is the one from the day it was checked.
